Sponsorship

In October 2008, Brunel University provided an initial project budget to start off the BX-09 bike build, and has since remained a strong partner in ensuring top technical test and development facilities, support for manufacturing, as well as ensuring logistics and travel to race and marketing events. However, the Brunel X-team have to rely heavily upon additional backing from industrial partners and external sources in order to design or acquire the most competitive race and EV parts for the prototype bike build.

In 2009, BX-09 was proof that with seed funding from the university and with support in kind from industrial partners, the team could place a competitive bike on the grid.

In 2010, the performance level of competitors had increased dramatically. Apart from Brunel University's continued project input, designing the BX-10 to run with the best was only possible thanks to extensive additional input from design consultancy Komatti and factory support from Agni Motors.

In order to continue being competitive in this rapidly developing e-racing environment, we must attain further support. Marketing and sponsorship events are a significant part of the team's activities and by tailoring each sponsoring agreement we aim to receive maximum benefits for the input received. Sponsorship does not necessarily have to be financial and the team also boasts an equivalency contribution system, whereby non-financial support is rewarded with equal commercial advantages. We thank all our sponsors from the previous years and invite you and them to join us again in 2011.
